The Village Voice article

My reaction to the Village Voice article is just about entirely positive.  If you haven't checked it out already then you could easily remedy that by going to:

I could go on about all the things that I am happy about.  My experience with the writer, the photographer, the editor, and the art director were all great.  They made me look and sound wonderful and all of them are invited to my birthday party.

The only problem I really have is that I HATE to have my standup material written out.  You really cant enjoy a song by just reading the lyrics, so how can you expect to get the complete experience from the printed word when something is usually performed?  Others have told me that it comes off nicely, but I stand by the idea that performance is the best way to see those pieces.

  1. I understand that your material is best delivered - but I really felt that I got a sense of your work from the quotes. The Village Voice article was my introduction, and a very nice one I thought. I look forward to seeing you perform!

    I loved this article :) I thought I was the only one who got teased with the "El-vi-ra" song! :)

    I really loved the pictures as well :) Great stuff! Congratulations! It's great to see a comrade with albinism making such a mark on the mainstream. Keep it up :)

    Congratulations, Vic! The pictures are fantastic, the article well-written, except for some mis(represented?)information:
    1) I've always known you're black;
    2) my folks were racist for not wanting me to go to prom with you because you're black--I don't know about "extremely racist," though;
    3) about 7 years later, I did tell my parents that we went to prom together--my dad said, "WHAT?!?" and my mom coolly replied, "I thought you had."

    Ah, hell. It's the media.

    Kate yr former prom date
