So, last night I went to a hip hop showcase /  contest thing and I started talking to some of the younger  "MCs" about older rap songs.  Bear in mind that the mean age was like 22.  Point is, that none of them had ever heard of Super Lover Cee and Casanova Rudd, more specifically their song Girls, I got Em Locked.

 

I don't owant anyone else to have that missing from ther hip hop vocabulary.

Time to go on the road.

I have never been fond of performing on the road, but I know that there are many adventures to be had out there, so I am about to make my first real road gig / tour thingy. I mean, yes, I have done gigs at colleges but that is a whole different beast.

The first time that I ever performed at a comedy club on the road I spent about twenty minutes telling someone in the front row that they looked like the mother from the Addams family and then turned the whole audience against me.

Here's to more of the same.

So I was up for a directing gig in Boston, and I was excited because it would have been my first horror movie, but suddenly the financing got pulled and it evaporated,  UGH!  U have the entertainment business sometimes.

 

Any productions going on out there that need an extra hand?  or motion graphics?  or something?

What's the solution?

As most of you know, I have been working on my movie for a while and we finally have locked the edit and are just doing the final sound design now. The movie is The Awkward Kings of Comedy. Of course, at the same time I have been trying to finish the fist pass on the visual effects for Roboto Supremo, the movie that I am making with a giant robot and Michel Gondry starring as the mayor of Tokyo.

Here's my point.

My sleep schedule is completely off now. I have no idea how to get it back on track. I have stayed up until 7 for a few nights in a row and I have no way of getting back on track. One of my friends suggested that I stay up a day and a half and then go to sleep. does that sound right? sounds crazy to me, or what if I end up falling asleep in the middle of the afternoon and then wake up in the middle of the night and have to do it all over again?

Sigh.
